How CAPIX handles your personal information

CAPIX Treasury Software Pty Ltd (ABN 81 072 587 976) (“CAPIX”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and safeguard personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
What information we collect
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide when you:
- contact us by email, phone or web form;
- request a product demonstration, quote or proposal;
- engage us under a software licence or services agreement;
- subscribe to news or updates; or
- attend an event we host or sponsor.
The information typically includes your name, business email address, telephone number, employer, job title, country, and any details you choose to include in your message.
Website analytics and cookies
This website is hosted on GitHub Pages. Standard server logs (including IP address, user agent and request URL) may be retained by GitHub for security and abuse-prevention purposes — see GitHub’s privacy statement for details. CAPIX does not currently set advertising or tracking cookies. If we enable analytics in future, this page will be updated and any cookie banner required by law will be presented before non-essential cookies are set.
How we use information
We use personal information to:
- respond to enquiries and provide requested information;
- deliver products, support and professional services under contract;
- issue invoices, manage accounts and meet record-keeping obligations;
- send service-related communications (e.g. release notes, security advisories);
- comply with legal, regulatory and audit obligations; and
- improve our products, content and customer experience.
We do not sell personal information.
Disclosure to third parties

- cloud and hosting providers (including Microsoft Azure) that operate the systems supporting our products and website;

Where information is transferred outside Australia, we take reasonable steps to ensure it receives a comparable level of protection.
Storage and security
Personal information is held in electronic form within systems operated by CAPIX or our subprocessors. We apply technical and organisational safeguards including access controls, encryption in transit, network segmentation and staff confidentiality obligations. No system is perfectly secure; please notify us promptly if you suspect any unauthorised access to information you have shared with us.
Retention
We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law (for example, taxation and corporate-record retention periods).
Your rights
You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you. You may also withdraw consent for non-essential communications at any time. To exercise these rights, or to make a privacy complaint, contact us using the details below. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
Children
Our products and website are intended for business use and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted on this page along with a revised effective date.
