CAPIX Order Routing - Product Summary

Overview

CAPIX Order Routing (COR) is a modular software package for routing a broad range securities transactions. Clients use COR for distributing securities and financial services via the Internet and managing Client or Counter party accounts.

COR is a modular, integrated system consisting of nine financial instruments based modules. The COR may be configured for operations in:

  • Securities Broking
  • Over-the-counter (OTC) Trading
  • Exchange Traded Securities

Modules

One of the key features of the COR is that modules are available for a wide range of financial instruments. By selecting the appropriate modules, COR can be configured for a wide range of operations.

All COR modules are highly user configurable and "table driven". This means that as new Securities are traded, client staff will be able to store details of these Securities in the database. These Securities will then be available for trading on the Internet site.

Modules may be purchased separately. Additional modules are developed according to client requirements. New modules for additional financial instruments are added according to client requests.

Background

The CAPIX Internet Exchange (COR) has been constructed around a business model that amalgamates and centralizes the price discovery, execution and operation process at the exchange level. It can be adapted and configured to support any existing or new exchange globally.

Technology

CAPIX software is exclusively based on Microsoft technology. This is due to the fact that Microsoft technology is well-established in the financial markets. This means that COR modules can be deployed relatively quickly and inexpensively. 

The CAPIX Order Routing modules require Microsoft Windows NT Server, Internet Information Server (IIS), and SQL Server to operate. It is the responsibility of clients to supply and support the computer hardware and Microsoft operating software listed above.

Software Support

CAPIX Ltd has a software Support Help Desk to provide technical assistance for our products to clients. Our standard Software Support Contract includes:  

  • Telephone and Internet Help Desk services to assist with user and technical enquiries.
  • Software maintenance to fix any defects.
  • Free Upgrades for the duration of the Support Contract.

Internet Portals

The COR may be configured to support Internet financial "Portals". This includes both publishing data in real-time from COR with external Portals, as well as running COR as a multi-contributor market data web site.

Interfaces

COR is designed to work in conjunction with existing systems. Several different types of interfaces exist, and new ones can be built according to client requirements. These systems may include price distribution, portfolio management, risk management and Back-office administration.
