CiX - Interfaces

Overview

CiX is designed to work in conjunction with existing systems. Several different types of interfaces exist, and new ones can be built according to client requirements.

These systems may include:

• price distribution
• portfolio management
• risk management 
• Back-office administration

Financial Information Exchange (FIX) protocol

The CAPIX Order Routing Engine (CORE) is a FIX protocol order routing engine that may be used to rout orders from clients to an exchange and rout the executed trades back again.

SWIFT

CiX can import and export a wide variety of transactions in the SWIFT format. This functionality is particularly important for interfacing with banking systems

Spreadsheets

Information, such as price and portfolios, can be imported from or exported to spreadsheets by CiX. This may be done by direct database access using ODBC or the HTML post function in MS Excel.

Database access

All CiX data is stored in a SQL Server database using ODBC. This integral ODBC support in CiX also makes it possible to import/export data with most other ODBC-compliant databases.
